Microsoft for Startups expands technology benefits as companies in the program to close on $1B this year

Microsoft announced yesterday an important update for its Microsoft for Startups initiative, which the company kickstarted two years ago to get innovative startups to get on board with the Microsoft Cloud. According to the software giant, “thousands of startups from more than 140 countries have connected their game-changing solutions to our enterprise customers,” and these companies are now on track to generate $1 billion in sales opportunities in 2020.

After reaching this new milestone, Microsoft is looking to push its program to a new level, and it’s doing so by adding new technology benefits. All existing and new members will now get access to GitHub Enterprise, and all members will also get access to Microsoft Power platform in the coming months.

The software giant has more updates coming for its Microsoft for Startups program, including giving members access to new distribution channels such as Azure Marketplace and AppSource. The company will also be “extending our reach even deeper into communities of under-estimated founders and ensuring diverse voices are heard and championed.” You can learn more about the Microsoft for Startups program on this page.
